ArtReach-funded projects must be by and for youth in Toronto. This includes only the City of Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, and Scarborough, but does not include the GTA as a whole. ArtReach will not fund programs outside of Toronto
If applying as a group, the majority (50%+) of your team members must be located within Toronto at the time of running your program
We accept applications from artists aged 13-29 at the time of application, and from groups/ organizations/ collectives where at least 50% of the leadership team is comprised of artists 13-29
Proposals from applicants that are not youth will only be considered where the barriers being faced by the participants are severe. In these cases, there must be a strong youth engagement model in place to allow for young people to still carry meaningful leadership roles in the program. In this case, applicants must receive approval from ArtReach’s Program Manager before applying. Failing to seek this approval before applying will result in your application being ineligible for review

Yes, grassroots or unregistered groups/ organizations/ collectives are welcome to apply, with or without a trustee
Yes, but if you are a youth group housed within a larger non-profit/ charity you should apply under the name of the youth group directly. The Applicant Name on your application form cannot be an adult-led organization
Equity-deserving groups are communities that face systemic barriers to equal access, opportunities, and resources due to disadvantage and discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, income, gender identity, sexual orientation, Indigeneity, age, ability, language, health, housing status, neighbourhood, and/or immigration status, among other identity markers
