UPCOMING WORKSHOP: CREATING A ROOM AGREEMENT

In this virtual session, facilitated by Dave Ball from Ground Floor, we'll dive into the practice of creating a room agreement. A room agreement is a collective collaboration that lays out the individual and collective needs of the group, the values the group aspires to hold, and the ways they wish to engage each other if those values are not met.

In this training, we discuss the various aspects of creating a room agreement, its function within the context of the creative process, and why this tool is crucial for the success of a new team working together for the first time. We also discuss the practicalities of using and maintaining the room agreement once it has been created. This session is suitable for arts professionals, educators, leaders, and anyone looking to gain new tools to strengthen their leadership practice.

Dave Ball is an award winning arts leader, leadership educator, and coach, passionate about providing training and support for arts leaders across North America. After an over 20 year career as an actor, director, and choreographer, including 12 seasons combined between the Stratford, Shaw, and Charlottetown Festivals, Dave has retired from a life on the stage to pursue a new goal: providing leadership education for emerging and aspiring leaders, and specialized leadership support for established arts leadership. As a Co-Founder of Ground Floor, Dave has spent the past six years creating and facilitating nationally available arts support programs including ARCS, TINK, and Two-Way Mentorship, and his work as an ICF-Trained, certified Leadership Coach is driven towards changing the narrative around how we provide care and support for artistic leadership.
